Our loan financing programs are designed to assist in the start-up, expansion, purchase and maintenance of small businesses in Crowsnest Pass. Eligible applicants must make every effort to access financing through conventional means. We cannot lend dollars for goodwill, land or real estate.
Loans are available up to a maximum of $150,000.

Our lending policies are quite straightforward and we're pretty flexible. Here are a few basic conditions that make qualifying for financing easier:
1. My business is located in the Crowsnest Pass.
2. I have been unable to secure appropriate financing under reasonable terms elsewhere.
3. I am prepared to demonstrate viability through a complete and thorough business plan.
4. I am willing and able to make a reasonable personal investment in my business.
5. I feel I have the management resources to make my business successful.
6. My business has the potential to create and maintain new jobs.
7. Extra emphasis may also be given to businesses that help us diversify our local economy, such as value-added forestry, agri-food, knowledge economy, tourism, or environment related businesses.

Applicants seeking financing must:
- Have a viable business plan complete with cash flow statements. (We can certainly assist you with the preparation of the business plan if you need some help)
- Adequate collateral to secure the loan.
- Be planning to operate their businesses within the Municipality of Crowsnest Pass.
- Complete the required Loan Application.
- Use the Loan Calculator available on our website.
All loan applications require Community Futures Crowsnest Pass Investment Review Committee and Board approval.
